it all started at Ad School...
Teneal and Kiran Wicksteed met during a group project in 2013 while they were both pursuing degrees at ad school, Teneal in Visual Communications and Kiran in Copywriting. They quickly learned that they made a potent creative partnership, and opted to team up more often than not.
After realising their creative chemistry was powerful enough to win awards, they started their first design company in 2014 under the name “K&T Creative”, becoming partners in business, and in life, along the way – and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
K&T Creative soon rebranded to Electric Sheep and, along with their team, Teneal and Kiran are constantly creating, discussing design, and ideating left-field ideas and creative concepts. Everyone at Electric Sheep is passionate about working on meaningful projects that make a difference for the people they work with. But, why the change to Electric Sheep?
Harkening back to the question asked by legendary writer Philip K. Dick in his 1968 novel, Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?, our founders wanted a name that reflected their inquiring nature and the fact that the world is on the cusp of complete synthesis into the digital realm.
We escape our living rooms and offices through electronic devices that propel us into faraway places that are completely real in their brilliant unreality. These realms are built of bricks of 1’s and 0’s, constructed not with callused hands, but swift and skilful keystrokes by the master innovators of our time.
All of humanity is contained here, from the hopeful dreams of children to the ambitions of people who want to master the online world, and some say the great frontier of our time isn’t the Wild West or Outer Space: the great land beyond is digital.
