IPACC, or “Indigenous Peoples of Africa Coordinating Committee”, is an NGO which deals with capacity-building and indigenous rights in Africa and abroad. With 135 indigenous peoples’ organizations in 21 African countries IPACC is the largest indigenous peoples’ network in the world.

They transcribe interesting and informative publications through the workshops they hold, to showcase the work they do with the indigenous people in Africa. You can have a look at all their publications by following this link.

Task

They commissioned us to transform their highly-important reports into modern and aesthetically beautiful publications, whilst all-the-while maintaining their professional and academically credible identity. These publications have since seen global distribution.

Strategy

As these are highly academic, well researched publications, we wanted to stay true to the text while still bringing in some creative designs, and visual aspects to create a beautiful balance.

Design

We used a professional base and colours that evoke trust and knowledge. We also used captivating images of indigenous people.
